Stage
Pre-acquisition startup, founded ~2023
Founders
Drake Som (product & sales) and Ram Potham (AI research & dev)
Engagement
Began March 2024, Embedded scrum master & delivery partner (Shiv Panjwani)
The starting point
A fast-moving team, ready to sharpen its shared vision.
SiteWiz was built by two complementary founders: Drake came from the product and business side, and Ram came from AI research and development. Together they had real momentum, and they were approaching a pivotal moment, with graduation ahead and the product maturing quickly.
They wanted to make the most of it: to step back, revisit the values and long-term vision behind the company, and translate that vision into clear, prioritized goals the whole team could rally around. The opportunity was to give their momentum a shared direction, so product and development were driving toward the same milestones.
"We were so zoomed in — and Shiv helped us zoom out a little bit."

The Approach
Embed, align, and build a rhythm— without slowing the team down.
Rather than impose heavy process, Agilow embedded as a third party and got fluent in SiteWiz's space fast. Drake called the onboarding "quite seamless"– which meant the team could focus on revisiting their vision and turning it into action, not spending weeks explaining their world to an outsider.
VISION
A founder off-site to revisit values & vision
Stepping back to revisit the company's values and long-term vision, and align each founder's personal goals with where the business was headed. The off-site helped Drake and Ram clearly articulate their shared vision and get on the same page about what came next.
CADENCE
Strong, well-defined sprints
Short-term goals the team could see themselves finishing — explicitly tying product and development work to the same target, then laddering up to POCs, clients, and ultimately acquisition.
RHYTHM
Daily standups & weekly retrospectives
A consistent beat to keep founders and contractors moving together, revisit goals, and create the sub-goals that connect long-term vision to daily work.
TOOLSTACK
A minimum viable operating system
A Miro board and Trello set up so work— and progress— was visible to the whole team and easy to track.
Alignment you could feel, and momentum you could measure.
Through the off-site, Agilow helped Drake and Ram clearly articulate their aligned vision and get on the same page about the road ahead. Goal tracking then made progress visible, and visible progress built its own momentum.

In the founder's words
When should an early-stage team adopt agile?
Drake's honest take doubles as a credible endorsement. He framed it as situational: agile and scrum cost time, commitment, and discipline. For a team in a pure heads-down hot streak with two long-aligned founders, more process isn't always the best use of time.
But for a small team that wants to step back, sharpen its vision, and rally around shared goals, it can create real momentum and clarity.
"If a smaller team is making rapid progress but it feels stagnated, that's a good time to look at scrum to reignite that momentum. There's a time to work and a time to reflect."

"
Shiv is the best Agile coach and is taking his learnings into Agilow. He helped my team at SiteWiz align to complete our key goals, increase our weekly productivity, ensured we were disciplined at standup, and built a better culture. Highly recommend his services.
